The eMuseum has been designed to provide resources for teachers. The current sets of materials are targeted at secondary social studies teachers. The eMuseum will become a primary online research portal for the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and will accommodate some of the needs of student researchers, professional researchers, and the general public.

What are the future plans for the Buck O'Neil Education and Research Center?

Named for Negro Leagues baseball legend and former museum chairman John "Buck" O'Neil, the research and education center will house the content of the NLB eMuseum. It will also be the headquarters for a number of important adult and youth education programs conducted by the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The center will be located in the renovated historic Paseo YMCA building, just a few blocks a way from the museum. It was at the YMCA in 1920 that the Negro National League was established.

Can only teachers use the Teacher Resources section?

The materials and lesson plans were designed for usage by secondary social studies teachers. However, general and student researchers may find it helpful to reference certain portions of the web site, such as the player biographies and oral history video clips.
